  I’ve heard about this place a lot. Sonamati is a Multi cuisine restaurant located at behala 14 no. Bus stop. Visited this place before Christmas. They’ve decorated the restaurant beautifully and created a Christmas like ambiance.Now coming to the food, we’ve orderedMumtaz murgh tikka kebabChicken 65Butter naanKadai paneerButter chickenChicken biryaniChicken bhartaIcecreamCold drinksMumtaz murgh tikka was one of my favourite dish from their menu. The chicken pieces were decent in size and it wasn’t really dry. It had a beautiful sweet taste which complemented really well with the green chutney.They make their chicken 65 with curry leaves in it which I’ve never seen anywhere.It was a pleasant visit. Do try their Mumtaz Murgh Tikka. Happy eating.

  I went here with my family and ordered Mumtaz murgh tikka kebab, chicken 65, chicken biryani and vanilla icecream with hot chocolate sauce. Would totally recommend Mumtaz murgh tikka kebab, it’s quite hot and well marinated. The interior is quite lovely and welcoming too and the staffs were quite courteous and prompt. Would definitely come here again!

  Behala now has so many places to offer you great food but sonamati has been there for quite some time . It is one of the oldest food joints in here and hence more dependable . It is a multi cuisine restaurant serving Chinese as well as indian preparations. Prices may look on the higher side but believe me quantity and quality makes its up .Reaching this place is very easy, any bus going to behala 14 number will drop you right in front of this big spacious restaurant. At the entrance you will see a gorgious looking macaw waiting for you to greet . Inside you will find dim lights with comfy sitting arrangements . This place can accomodate a huge mass at a time.We mainly focused on their Chinese cuisine . Service was pretty fast and accurate. Here is a detailed review of what we ordered .We opted for two drinksBlue Lagoon which costed around ₹90and Strawberry Blossom that was of ₹100. The blue lagoon had more amount of fizz than one would expect and the strawberry blossom was overly sweet. Hence the drinks could be prepared with a little more care .Moving on to our starters which were mostly outstanding. Started off with Dragon chicken that costed ₹280 . Big 8 portions of chicken cut in cuboidal shape coated in a flour batter and den tossed in rich spicy sauce to finish off. The portion size very impressive .Then we had Drums of heaven. 6 pieces of drumsticks costed 260 . I found it little overpriced. Although the chicken drumsticks were spicy and tasty but the price could be lowered a bit.Golden Fried Prawn ₹ 320. This wasn’t upto the mark. The coating was really thick , the dip being the saviour. The prawns were french and thoroughly cooked . But wasn’t tasty. May be a thinner coating could have made the difference. It was served with onion rings which were crispy and very tasty . We all enjoyed munching them.Next we moved on to our main course which consisted of the following itemsMix Chow ₹190Mix singapore Fried rice ₹210Chilli chicken ₹190Hunan Chicken ₹220Lemon Fish ₹250First of all quantity is huge. Like one rice and a side dish could be easily shared by 2 adults . Both the fried rice and noodles was full of chicken chunks, fried egg and prawns . It went very well with the chilly chicken. The chilly chicken was mildly spicy . Portion of chicken pieces were good. The hunan chicken had a really aromatic gravy and shredded pieces of chicken in it. I paired it with my noodles which again was well prepared. The lemon fish gravy had very strong taste of lemon and i personally feel it’s slightly challenging preparation which they executed very well.Overall a great dining experience with live sports streaming on the tvs hung on the walls. Will love to get back in here to try out their Indian dishes as well.

  This restaurant is located near the very famous 14 number bus stand. This is one of the oldest restaurants in Behala known for their Indian and Chinese Cuisines. I had been to this place quite a number to times as it’s very close to my home. On my recent visit, I happened to try out the following items:SHAKES:1. Blue Lagoon2. Strawberry BlossomSTARTERS:1. Lemon FishIf you are resident of Behala, then you must definitely try out this restaurant for sure and trust me you will come out with a big smile on your face.

  Sonamati Is One Of The Best Multicuisine Restaurants kolkata, located In Behala 14 No.The ambience Of The Place Is Very Soothing. The Place Has near about 110 Seating Arrangement.Went There With My Friends Few Days Ago Tasted some Of Their Delicacies.We HadStrawberry Blossom ₹100Dragon chicken ₹280Drums of heaven ₹260Golden Fried Prawn ₹ 320Mix Chow ₹190Mix singapore Friedrice ₹210Chilli chicken ₹190Hunan Chicken ₹220Lemon Fish ₹250All The Dishes Were Superb, especially The Dragon Chicken, singaporean rice & Hunan chicken.The staff Behaviour Of The Place Is Also good. Would love to visit here again..
