Topsia is mainly famous for Chinese Restaurants, but restaurants like Arsalan & Haji Saheb located nearby this area owns the North Indian segment too. Shahi Darbar is a small restaurant located on the main road of Topsia under Maa Flyover serving mainly North Indian and very few Chinese items.First impression was really bad. Ground floor weren’t really maintained, there were flies all over the place and a dirty smell was present. But first floor sittings were completely opposite, neat and clean and well maintained, not sure why they haven’t focused on the entrance of the restaurant.Ambiance, very small dining, open road view, comfortable sofa sittings. Coming to the food, ordered below dishes with the help of their waiter but service was bit too slow.Chicken Reshmi Kebab @ Rs.160 (1/5)——————————————————————-I was expecting great kebabs from this place but what served was very disappointing. Total of 6 very small pieces were served where 2 pieces were mostly burned. Kebabs were extremely extremely dry, smoked and the creaminess of Reshmi kebab weren’t present. Not recommended.Mutton Biryani Special @ Rs.220 (3/5)———————————————————————The Biryani took quite long to serve on our table. First impression, it wasn’t traditional Biryani rather it felt like Matka Biryani where the masalas weren’t well mixed. It was much more moist and not really packed with lots of flavours. Recommended only with a side dish as mutton pieces were small and it was very average in taste.Mutton Stew @ Rs.180 (4/5)—————————————————–The waiter recommended us to get this dish with Biryani. I thought this dish as healthy plain white stew with vegetables like traditional Chicken Stew that we usually enjoy with bread. But I was completely wrong, it was dark, rich, packed with lots of spices. Served in a small kadhai with 4 small pieces of tendered mutton that went really well with their Biryani. Although bit oily but Chicken or Mutton stew is must here.Conclusion———————-Food is very affordable here but quality of the food is also very mediocre. They really need to improve the food and maintain the overall place.
