Been here during my college days. We were a group of 6-7 people guys and girls and they wouldn’t let us sit downstairs because the girls wanted a drink. The food is okayish. The place is really dim and dingy. Really affordable though
Didn’t have much expectations from this bar but I was pleasantly surprised with there food and service. Decor and ambience is like any usual bar in that area, dimly lit and with live music after 8 PM. Thank God they have a first floor sitting away from the live music. We ordered some bengali style মাছ à¦à¦¾à¦œà¦¾ and liked them with our booze. Then ordered there signature tandoori chili chicken and loved it. Lastly ordered some chili Pomfret which blown our mind (probably the booze making them testy!). Overall loved there food and prompt service.
Hidden in the lanes of Lal Bazar Area, Monte Carlo is the perfect place for super budget friendly Booze! Well don’t expect hi-fi service or ambience as its a dark n shady bar with semi-comfortable sitting arrangement. If you are very tall you might have problem in sitting. They have slot in the food menu but I didn’t like to experiment with it so I preferred Dry Chilli Chicken and Fish Fingers. Let me tell you, apart from getting drinks at throw away cheap price you also get good food!! Definitely not a place to visit with Family or Girlfriend but yes, if you got a Yo girl with you should try this out. Very convenient for the Dalhousie office goers!Irrespective of everything I just said, I am in love with the place only because of the reasonable booze! I come here often should try it out if you are a guy.
