This is located very close to Darjeeling Mall, at the basement of Dekeling Hotel. I was here for a quick lunch and ordered Mixed Fried Rice, Chilly Pork and Chicken Momo.The momos were generously stuffed and were very juicy. The rice was meaty and the pork was very well cooked. There is something very strange about this Restaurant. I was in Darjeeling for 5 nights, and I happened to ask The boys running the place for 5 days between 1-6 pm everyday of the place is open for lunch. They constantly said to return an hour later although the restaurant did not have even a fly to kill while the joint next door, Kunga Restaurant was overflowing with diners. I even asked if they don’t serve Indians or is it reserved for locals only, the boys started laughing but were absolutely not interested. I don’t think this place once renowned for its Chinese food is actually functioning and is infact just a front for something else. Not a single patron in the restaurant during peak lunch hours and consistently turning guests away, when kunga restaurant next door is turning away people because off so many patrons. Really strange behaviour and not to mention something is quite Amiss.
Not good enough. The singapore fried rice had too many dried chillies as well as green chillies. It tasted nothing other than spicy. I was also told that I could order only one chicken item. Not much of the menu was available. The food was not good.
Located on ground floor of dekeling hotel just opposite to keventers. Ordered mixed fried rice, chilli pork & sweet & sour pork. The fried rice was very homely with lots of veggies & pork and absolutely no added sauce which surprised me,Loved it!! The chilli pork was good enough & so was the sweet & sour pork. Everything tasted very fresh and almost home cooked.
Dekevas restaurant is just below Dekeling Hotel which is one of the best hotels of Darjeeling. It is their own restaurant too. So you can order food from Dekevas while at Dekeling. The food quality is topnotch and wrt the pricetags, the quantity and quality both are good.

This place remains my absolute favourite even after all these years because it still tastes like a home cooked meal. Ginger fried rice, chilly chicken and their veg momos are an absolute must have. They use a very fragrant small grain rice hence all their rice dishes are a must try.
