Glenary’s is no less than an institution in Darjeeling. This is a place that evokes emotions. The food is neither exquisite, nor flawless! But,taste, despite being an important aspect,is not everything! The picturesque background of clouds playing with the majestic Kanchenjunga will drive your worries away(atleast for a while) and you can indulge in the sinfully sweet treats without any guilt. So, next time you visit this restaurant, make sure to grab a table by the balcony, enjoy the sceneries with a cup of hot chocolate and let the Queen of the hills welcome you with a warm hug.In frame:Chicken RollVeg QuicheSwiss BunEggs, bacon and sausagesOh! And do not forget to bring back some baked goodies for your loved ones at home from their much celebrated bakery. thenoshtales.com

The Food was awesome. And the ambience was very good. The special mentiones are blueberry cheesecake, lemon tart ,baked beans and fruit salad with ice cream. One who loves english breakfast can drool over this place. Moreover the ambience is so awesome that you won’t want to leave thr place easily. I would rate the place in following way :Service 5/5Ambience 5/5Taste 5/5Quantity 5/5Hygiene 4/5Overall 4.5/5Definitely a must visit place when in Darjeeling.
Loved the decor and ambience. One of the best place I’ve been to.
This restaurant is located at Darjeeling mall.. exactly on the opposite side of KFC..I ordered hot chocolate and cheese omlette..both tasted very good.. cheese omlette was very huge in quantity..but the best thing of the restaurant is the balcony view.. awesome experience..
Visited this place to have breakfast during my trip to Darjeeling with Mrinal Debnath . Our experience here is not so good because the staffs of the place were not so welcoming but more ignorant to serve us. We got a seat and for 15 to 20 minutes there was none to take order. Finally they took the order but the food arrived very late. They took more than 30 minutes to prepare two cheese omletes. We felt very bad with their service. The taste of the omlete was okaish. We took a parcel of two chicken rolls and they tasted very good. Only for that I am giving 3 stars out of 5 stars.
Glenary’s is one of the iconic restaurants in Darjeeling. It has served meals to some legendary persons of India in various fields. Renowned for its bakery, restaurant, and bar, Glenary is a must for all tourist visiting Darjeeling and want to have a great dining experience.================================:: PRO ::1. The ambiance is mesmerizing, along with the view of Kanchenjunga.2. Both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements are available.3. All the food items, including bread, are made by the restaurant in-house.4. The food is highly delicious.5. Easy to access; Located just a few meters away from the Mall.================================:: CON ::1. It is mostly a self-service restaurant.2. Due to high demand, seats are almost full for the entire day.================================About the Food,The Bakery serves you with fresh Bread. The sub sandwich and pizzas are made with fresh slices of cheese and they were delicious. You can order their authentic Darjeeling Tea which also worth a sip. Glenary’s is also renowned for its pastries. We recommend the Red Velvet Cake.Must-Try: Chicken Sub Sandwich, Chicken Pizza, Red Velvet Cake, Darjeeling TeaAbout the Ambiance,The Bakery is from the British colonial era and has an architecture that used to host the aristocrat people of that time. They have a balcony dining space where you can enjoy your meal with the view of Kanchenjunga. The wall has been beautified with antiques such as clocks and showpieces. The balcony is separated from the indoors by a glass wall beneath whose plants with red flowers add to the mesmerizing ambiance.
