Located on the one of the most important junction of South Kolkata, also known as one of the famous fashion bazar of Kolkata, Gariahat. More precisely it is situated inside the Gariahat market. It is one of the prominent running pice hotel. hey have two rooms for sitting arrangement. We went there around 2:45pm and didn’t expect much varities there. So we ordered rice, dal, jhuri alu vaja, sukto, parse and vetki. The fishes were fresh and tasty. The amount of the curries were sufficient but lack of salt and other spices. Prices are little bit higher compared to other contemporary pice hotels. But you can eat homely bengali cuisine with pocket friendly price after loads of marketing.
It’s a very popular and old pice hotel inside the Gariahat market. Very basic seating. Prompt service, hot food. Plenty of fish varieties, tasty and yummy. Mourola maach torkari, parshey jhal, chitol peti was our order this time. Each dish was perfectly made. Many high rated Bengali restaurants nearby should take a lesson in cooking from this kitchen. Keep it Up Adarsh Hindu Hotel!!
Adarsha Hindu hotel is located inside Gariahat market and is the most popular pice hotel in the area. It was almost buzzing with customer when we reached. We ordered plain rice, mourolla chorchori, pabda sorse, chitol peti and chicken curry along with tomato khejurer chatni. We wanted to order mutton but it was over 🙁 Coming to the food, taste was good but the extraordinary punch was missing. Quality of fish was very good though but the gravies were a bit runny. Quantity of a plate of chicken is huge and tastewise also nice. Chatni was a bit disappointment. Pricing is high for a pice hotel. Service is really good. Overall an okay experience.
No nonsense simple homely Bengali food. Big portioned fish, Dal and bhaja. Absolutely not posh. Just go for the food. Has been there for like ages. I have packed on various occasions. DO NOT order anything out of the ordinary. Just their Bengali thalis
Another food joint which has gone down the drain. Again a typical Bengali mentality (let’s make profit fast) business.Veg food was still ok but the Non-Veg was bland as shit. The management and the waiter are like pack of wolves ready to pounce on you when you visit the restaurant and will ask you 1000 times to go for the order what they want you to take(which is always the high price ones).
