Delicious. Delicious is the word I would use to describe the kasundi fish tikka at rang de basanti dhaba. Every bite of the tikka melted in the mouth from the first bite to the last one. A bit of extra spice hit the tongue otherwise the dish is perfect as an appetizer. They are using aluminium plates and glasses to serve the food.
A few days back i visited Rang de Basanti Dhaba near IBM and tried out their winter special menu.Apart from the deletable starters,i tried Shorbas(a must try this winter),Makke di Roti with jaggery, butter and Sarson ka saag(another highly recommended one).Apart of these tried the authentic masala kulcha along with Chicken Butter Masala(a all time favourite combo).Finished it off with winter special gajar ka halwa for dessert.
We were there for lunch on new year Eve . Opted for sarson Ka saag, makki Di roti along with Afghani murgh and amritsari machhi. Afghani murgh was star of the lunch ; soft and creamy pieces was delightful to eat. Winter season doesn’t complete if one don’t try sarson Ka saag so order for that. As usual they maintain the authenticity of this dish. End up with gajar Ka halwa. Prices are reasonable and service is quick.
Visit this place few months back..Went there with my friends at lunch time..It was crowded..Waiter asked us to wait outside..Although they are having nice seating arrangements outside..It was little hot..anyway after 15 minutes we went inside and ordered for butter nun, daal makhni, chicken varta, soda sikanji. They took almost another 15-20 minutes to serve the order..Interior is totally dhaba style with air-conditioner facility..They serve food in iron pots and plates..varta was loaded with shraded chicken and daal makhni was tasty too..everything was cost around INR 700 for 2.Ambience: 4/5Service: 2/5Food: 3.5/5
Today I have visited RDB Dhaba to have lunch. I tried the rarra mutton and tandoori butter roti. The item was very nice, mutton pieces were tender and juicy, the gravy was also very flavourful. I liked the service and food of RDB Dhaba. It is a recommended place✅Follow me on insta @thefoodoholikLike my fb page The Foodoholik
Even thought we were almost full due to Puja Pandal Hopping and having street food, yet thought of trying this place! Well, it was too crowded but we found a seat! Service was fast! Loved the quirky frames with such captions! Food was nice – had paneer butter masala with butter naan. Ordered a sweet lassi too – it wasn’t cold and neither did they had ice cubes. Lassi could have been better in taste as well.Service was prompt and nice.
Went there for saptami lunch at around 1-30pm and the place was still not crowded, which is actually a good thing. We were greeted by the staff. The place is spacious with dhaba like ambience. The cutlery and utensils they use, all have a dhaba feel to it. There was this limited menu specially for Durga pujo. We ordered mutton seekh kebab and chicken biriyani and both were very well prepared and very much tasty. And of course nothing like their Kolkata chicken biriyani. Overall impressed and happy. ☺
