This place is really a hidden gems for all the people who works in Sector V area. Yes, there are few restaurants in this area that is good for family dining and Hing Bar & Restaurant is such type of place where you can easily dine in with your family members. So let’s come and explore this place.Ambiance & Service – This place is really old and they also have Bar section for drinks. Service speed is moderate and those people who works here are serving here for a long time. They are really friendly and helpful enough. Now come to the food section. We ordered -1. Amritsari Sukhi Bhuna – 6 pieces of chicken were cooked with mustard seeds and curry leaves. The taste had little bit touch of South Indian taste.2. Beijing Noodles – This was something new we got here, yess noodle with minced mutton. The noodle was cooked in Singapore style and then tossed with lots of minced mutton keema and finally garnished with spring onions. Love this item.3. Chicken Taichin – 8 piece of chicken slices were cooked in thick gravy with baby carrots, garlic and spring onions. Not too spicy but goes excellent with noodles.4. Mandarin Egg Fried Rice – Just like regular egg fried rice. Nothing special about it. The good part is, it had lots of veggies and egg into it. Tastewise normal.5. Lemon Grass Chicken – 8 pieces of chicken slices were cooked in little tangy gravy. This was really one of the finest lemon chicken I’ve ever had. The dish had a perfect balance between tanginess and sweetness. Garnished with lemon slices and spring onions, this item is really worthy trying. Must try item here.In conclusion I must say this restaurant is really a must visit place for all. Pricing of each and every item was really reasonable and qualitywise pretty good. Overall I had a very good dining experiences here and will surely visit again.

Finding such a restaurant in Sec V area was quite unexpected. By such a restaurant I mean this place doesn’t look like a Bar, instead it looks like a family restaurant. I pretty much liked their old looking ambiance. By seeing their staffs I became sure it is one of the oldest Bar cum Restaurant of Sec V.The ambiance was really calm, music in low volume, decent sofa sittings and it felt like we were in home. Staffs were really gentle. We were there for only dinner, no alcohol. Here’s what we ordered.# Amritsari Sukhi Bhuna @ Rs.269 (3/5) :———————————————Chicken starter prepared with mustard seeds and curry leaves tasted hot and spicy. Fried Chicken pieces could’ve been bit soft and juicy, otherwise okay. I would’ve liked something else in starter than this.# Beijing Noodles @ Rs.229 (4/5)# Chicken Taichin @ Rs.249 (3.5/5)————————————–Straight forward we ordered these mains because we were there for only food and we were hungry. Beijing Noodles were champ, just don’t take any side dish with it. Prepared with minced mutton pieces this noodles itself tastes really good, spicy and flavourful.Chicken Taichin was prepared with sliced chicken pieces with carrots, spring onions and lots of spices. As per their menu 5 kind of spices were present and it was a balanced hot and spicy dish that tasted very average.# Lemon Grass Chicken @ Rs.249 (4.5/5)# Mandarin Egg Fried Rice @ Rs.159 (4/5)———————————————This combo was simply amazing and it changed our view about this restaurant. Specially the Lemon Grass Chicken, that felt so refreshing, mild in taste and beautifully prepared with aromatic lemon grass flavour in it.Mandarian Fried Rice with broken grain of rice and fine chopped veggies it was very mild in taste and it went really really well with the Lemon Grass Chicken. But quantity of the rice felt bit low to me.Conclusion :—————If you like Chinese or Oriental they’ve very limited number of dishes in menu. Pricing of their dishes are very ordinary. But food quality was satisfactory. If you love calm and homely environment I’ll definitely recommend this place to you.
