This small place in camac street is just amazing for office people..They charge very low price for all the food and provide very good quantity..Neat place..For past few days this place has become one of my favourite place for lunch..recommended to all office goers who is located in camac street
I have often snuck into this little restaurant on Gorky Terrace (the first eastward lane from Camac St when you enter Camac St from AJC Bose Rd. It is small enough to almost miss, and not particularly inviting. The tables are not too clean and nor are the floors, the kitchen couldn’t me better could it? Service is fast, but shabby. But what sets it apart is the food.My staple has been the Chicken Do Piaza with ‘Haath Roti’. While this isn’t the right kind of outlet to judge the authenticity of the dish, it is very well made. Not too spicy at all, not so oily, just tasty. The rotis are soft and go so well with it. You get an entire quarter chicken, reasonable size for Rs 90. The chicken tastes fresh and incredibly soft without tasting over-cooked.The place is usually full (I think there are 6 small tables), during lunchtimes, no doubt a testament to the good inexpensive food. Oh yes there is a lot on the menu, but I really have not had the desire to try anything else.We got some to my part time workplace on Elgin Road yesterday. Was much appreciated.
Arunoday Eating House is a good pocket friendly option for office goers in camac street area. The prices are very reasonable and ambience is very simple.Had Tawa Roti with Veg Tarka. Both were fine. They have good combos also.Ony Indian items available.Chinese/Continental/Mexican items are not available.
I am on the lookout for one such eatery for a homely lunch at reasonable prices in my office neighbourhood. I found one today after I shifted to my new office few months back in this area. The arrangement is basic- Seven tables and benches to seat. One doesn’t expect frills here. From whatever I saw, the cleanliness was acceptable.I gave an order for simple food as the purpose was to try the place- Egg tarka (Rs 55) and rotis (Rs 5 each). The rotis were freshly made and soft. The tarka was tasty. The squeeze of the small piece of lemon on the side made it tastier. The customary piece of onion was there too. The prices are reasonable.I see myself coming back for lunch. kolkatacurry.blogspot.com
One of the very popular roadside cheap eats. Small joint but relatively well cleaned and maintained. You get all the food items of a typical dhaba and the taste is fairly good. Pricing is also good and the best part is the service is really quick and you do not need to wait much for an express lunch.
