Kenilworth’s mae kong is definitely not ‘worth’ it. We had ordered for dumplings which looked pretty sad to us and almost tasted like road side dhaba’s momos. It was followed by prawn bibimpa and veg Vietnamese pho, which were pretty disappointing as wellDont go there expecting for authentic chinese.

Have been a fan of Kenilworth hotel and it’s food (of course) since childhood – and thus, walked into this place for a family lunch! What caught our attention was the fact that they are Kolkata’s only pure veg oriental kitchen and bar – and thus, a heaven for we vegetarians! Ambience of the place is pretty soothing – as one would expect from a 4-star hotel! They are comfortably situated in Russell street and the management has successfully created an “Oriental” ambience at this restaurant! Coming to the food, we ordered hell lots of items: -(i) Choco Banana Smoothie(ii) Hot and sour soup(iii) Manchow soup(iv) Shanghai Dumpling soup(v) Herbed crème soup(vi) Crispy chilly baby corns(vii) Sambal Broccoli(viii) Traditional Spring roll(ix) Twisted Wantons(x) Salt and pepper tofu(xi) Hakka Noodles(xii) Manchurian(xiii) Virgin Mojito(xiv) Sweet corn coup (Traditional)(xv) Mint Mango Mojito(xvi) Freshly squeezed juice(xvii) Shitake and Edamame Fried rice(xviii) Buddha Rice bowl(xix) Burnt garlic fried rice(xx) Eight treasure vegetables in light garlic sauce(xxi) Chilli garlic soba noodles(xxii) Aerated beverages(xxiii) Fortune cookiesIt’s next to impossible to elaborate on each and every one of the above items – but would say that this place is a must try for vegetarians looking forward to decent Oriental and Chinese stuff!Only item I particularly disliked was the Fortune cookies – just 4 pieces of this served for 250 bucks (Taxes extra) – and these proved unfortunate indeed (in terms of prices).Service also needs improvement – they were reluctant to shift us to another table (which was pretty larger than the one on which we were initially seated). Also, they lagged behind in serving timely, waiting time is high!Prices are very high – as one would expect in a 4-star, rest all so far so good!

Great food and excellent service. My taste buds were delighted. Simply loved the food and service. Must visit and the best part is the pure vegetarian stuff.

One of the most scrumptious meals I have had in days, the kind that makes me want a write a review. The elegant decor and ambience ,the suave and deferential staff, and the eclectic pure vegetarian spread more than compensate for the hefty pocket pinch. The melt in mouth cottage cheese dumplings are the connoisseur’s masterpiece. With every bite I had, it became increasingly difficult to discern the fact that I was having Jain food. Recommended for family visits and oriental cuisine lovers.-Added to my list of favourite restaurants

Being a Vegetarian its a delight to have a Oriental Restaurant which is Pure Veg.The best thing I liked here is its gorgeous interior and reasonable price. Its better to have dinner over here instead of lunch as the place looks more beautiful in dark under lights.Coming to the food one should definitely try their signature “Cheese Dumplings” which is really mouth melting. The portion size were quite small so we had to reorder.Apart from that We had “Cranberry Orange Juice” which was nice. The options under each category in the menu were neither less nor too much to confuse.Service is fine.P.S. –The place is kinda romantic. One should definitely visit at least once with his/her Bae/Soulmate.Candle Light Dinner options available.

The food was very good. We tried the Crackling Spinach, dimsums, khousuey, schezwan potatoes and banana fritters with ice cream for dessert. Dimsums were so soft that they would melt in your mouth. However, we were highly disappointed with the service. The staff was courteous but the preparation was too slow. It took them half hour before every course. It wasnt unusually crowded that day still they were very slow in their service. Seemed that they were unable to manage the crowd. As a result the food that we were served was a lil lukewarm rather than piping hot. Highly recommended but ideal to go on a weekday.

Excellent ambience and refreshening food! It’s a must try for veggies! All cuisines are quite mouth watering and the service is awesome too! We ordered Thai and Indian food with were just next to perfect. Loved it!
