This is a beautiful place located in Gorky sadan. We ordered the inhouse hot chocolate, and i must say it was one of the best hot chocolates i have had in a long time. With a dash of pepper and cinnamon,its surely one of the best in town. We also ordered Mushroom fritti(which is my absolute favourite) & pork pelmini. Looking forward to visit again and try all the other delicacies.
A peaceful place surrounded by books and an equally pleasant ambience that gives solace to the visitor. Every dish we ordered were unique on their own. Particularly the beef stroganoff was an extremely sumptuous dish having delicate flavors infused into it. Vienna coffee and Russian tea were also mild in taste and offered the perfect kick to start off the day. Highly recommended for enjoying quality time with near and dear friends.
It’s a nice, spacious cafe with good interiors. While the place specializes in Russian food, it also serves traditional finger-food options that are really tasty. We tried a Paneer starter that had the chef’s special sauce, and it was delicious. So was the pesto lasagne. Would definitely recommend this place. Reaching the cafe can be a little confusing though. It is on the premises of the Russian Center of Arts and Culture.The place also has several board games that you can play.
This cafe is inside Gorky Sadan and a bit hard to find. Decor is good, ambience is quiet and the staff is very cordial.We ordered BBQ Chicken Pizza which was amazing and enough for two, the Chicken in Red Wine Ju which was the best dish according to me and was more than enough for one. We also ordered Spaghetti bolognese which was smelling a bit of raw lamb and a bit underwhelming compared to the other dishes. Finally for dessert we ordered Creme Brulee which is a MUST TRY here.I had quite a good experience here. The dishes are full of flavour, quantity is good and so is the price. All these costed us Rs. 2100 with tax. Highly recommended!
A very well kept secret (but trust the Russians to do so) – otherwise who’d have expected a really nice European Cafe inside Gorky Sadan (the Russian Cultural Centre) in #Kolkata. Was blown away by the Quinoa and Avocado Salad and a surprisingly good Tenderloin Steak. The Whole Wheat Thin Crust Pizza was way above what you get in any Calcutta Cafe. Great value and superlative service. Recommended.
