We went to this restaurant on 26th December. We tried buffet there. It cost 261 including all kind of tax. Within this price range you will get veg soup, two kind of salads, papad, rice, dal, butter nun, garlic alu (something like that), noddles, egg curry, fish, and one chicken item.In desert section we got two kind of cards, chutney, chocolate ice-cream.Though we got Bata fish which was really pathetic. According to me they should make something better. Chicken pieces should be boneless, and they might include variation of egg than normal egg curry..Other wise food quality is really good. Must try aam dahi( mango curd). Thanks
This snooty place (the whole hotel) treats you with disdain when you first enter. They think everyone strolling through their doors doesn’t deserve to be here :-DAfter you complete a check-in, wash up and stroll down to the reception area to enquire about lunch, they guide you to a small sectioned off cafe that serves cheap buffet lunches (unlimited though). The food is good, fairly okayish, mostly a mix of Indian + Chinese, laid out on a small counter top. There are 2 captains that spend most of the time dissing life in general and catching up on the events close to their hearts. The rest of the wait staff seems to be trainees. The wait staff is unhurried and has to be politely reminded a few times to replenish the food trays (rotis over? wait 20 minutes for them to get you just 1 roti!). Asking the wait staff to get you water? Wait 10 minutes atleast, one of them needs to find the water jug!Is mostly frequented by repeat visitors that seem to be working in the vicinity (a few consulates / banks / financial services and 2 hospitals nearby), who use it as an opportunity to eat unlimited food. Coming to the food, the taste and quality have been fairly consistent over a 5 month window when I was there. One thing I’ll begrudgingly give them is that the food is 100% fresh though.
Recently visited Olive- Hotel Nikarika which is located near Minto park. The ambience is quite good. I visited with my friend. We had their buffet. The buffet was well organised. The food was really good. The only thing there was less veg items. There was Hakka noodles, manchurian, Hunan chicken, naan , fish and Aloo curry, chicken is red sauce , rice and dal . Some salad . There was also soup and dessert. In Dessert it had Gulab jamun with ice cream.
