To some extent every bengali have a feeling that puja hopping ain’t complete without a visit to the Maddox square. I guess many will agree to this fact specially if u stay near South kolkata region.. And on such occasion when u are nearby Maddox good food is a must for sure and ironically this review is just about such times.. I know the intro may sound or look a bit lengthy but all good things must be cherished cuz in whatever form they come to u.. While penning down this review I feel a sense of satisfaction for that day..This joint is located on paddapukur road.. A good 20-25 mins from Maddox to be precise.. It was almost 10 in the night but kolkata looked as ever charming as puja was going on in full fledge.. The que wasn’t huge outside.. The waitress outside asked us to wait for a little while but even that little wait seemed like ages when ur hunger dives in.. The staffs were super supportive and what was more overwhelming was that they took us to the lounge area in the bar section where we could grab ourselves a seat.. Skipped drinks though I started talking with the bartender about this joint and a few mocktail options..In the meantime, one of the staff gave us a table for two at a corner area of the room just adjascent to the road side and the view looked splendid.. The ambience was soothing although the crowd was full to its core.. The arrangements were superb.. Virgin mojio with brown sugar and lemon cubes dipped in ice soda was exquisite.. Ordered, chelo kebab that came in with butter rice and and garnished with egg pouch.. The quant was good for two so we settled for that.. The taste was fantastic so I ain’t bragging more about that..I will surely come down some day again to taste other varieties for sure.. The hospitality and the welcoming is something I cherished and I will remember.. Pepperchino is a Must visit.

We went here this Sunday for a late lunch. It is located at a walking distance from chakraberia. The decor is pretty minimalistic. We ordered lamb Seekh kebab and tandoori chicken along with two cocktails and a beer. The lamb Seekh kebab was cold and undercooked. No taste of lamb at all. The tandoori chicken was average. We are thoroughly disheartened as we had got really good reviews from others regarding the place. The starters killed the mood and we decided not to proceed for the mains. The cocktails were not upto the mark as well.

The place we usually visit if we are out at late night. It is located near Poddopukur just beside Pan Asia. Very nice food. My personal favourite is their Pan Fried Noodles. It’s a must have. Ambience and service both are nice.

I went there for a date. This place mesmerised me a lot both with their ambience and food with service. They serve some amazing delish looking cuisines.Bangalis always can have both eastern and western food together so tried both ways1. Chicken supreme pizza2. Banjara kabab3. Smoked peppery chicken4. Caramel custard.

I’ve been to pepper chino three times now and honestly, it been a hit and miss. The staff is courteous, the ambience is very family friendly but the food is very inconsistent.1.) Burmese Khaosuey – This is the biggest positive of pepper chino, I can have their Khaosuey three times a day and not yet get tired of it. The Coconut flavoured broth along with a lot of chicken and the sides is wonderful to eat. Would give it a six out of five if possible.2.) Chicken Lasagna – A classic lasagna, nothing special. But tastes good 4/53.) Citrus Salmon – It wasn’t good. The salmon was cooked well, but that’s the only positve. The broccoli doesn’t have enough flavour, it was big no for me. 2/54.) Chelo Kebab – A well made chelo Kebab. Would recommend it. 4/55.) Sizzling brownie – 4/5. Same as everywhere else.5.) Custard – Just look at the pic I uploaded. Totally lost my appetite 1/5.
