One of my favourite places which serves delicious punjabi food in Kolkata. Russel Dhaba is located in Russell Street, a few steps away from Maidan metro station. This place can easily accommodate 15-20 people at once. Most of the people come here to have tea and snacks. You gotta try their Aloo Paratha and Dal Makhani, both are simply delicious. Service is quick followed by warm hospitality.Overall experience was amazing!Follow us on Instagram for more updates: CaDel Tales (@cadel_tales)
I like the food and it is mostly famous for tea and every Saturday night i go to russel punjabi dhaba for having tea and i love it.I went on sunday to have dinner. I had aloo parathas, rotis, tea and kashmiri aloo dum. The food was nice especially the aloo paratha. The food was simple. The service could be more good. Glasses of water were not served and the dishes was also of plastic not that good. We ordered aloo parathas, tea, rotis and kashmiri aloo dum and we just loved the simple tastes for them. The aloo paratha is the most popular here.
This place once used to be my hot favorite. But it seems recently they have lost their X factor. The foods have become absurdly expensive, but the entire Dhaba food feel has vanished.Recently I had been there on a gloomy afternoon and sadly the food could not reinvigorate me. The Chana Masala and Paratha tasted like total waste. However I thought a glass of Lassi would be a good idea to have in the end. But the Lassi even was less sweet and did not have the creaminess as expected.I really hope they refurbish the Dhaba and serve lip smacking foods like they did in the past.
