This place is not even 6months old.It is located at Camac Street. The place is absolutely amazing, the ambience is totally lit.Yeah, you will find it to be little expensive but good things come with a price. The food items that I tried are:1)Grilled Chicken Wings 2)Smoked Chicken & Jalapeño pizza. Both of these are their specialities. Also for drinks we got two of their best vodka based drinks,1)There’s no place like home 2)Frankly my dear,I don’t give a damn.Yeah, the names are quite unique too. They really serve one of the best cocktails here, the spirits they use are of good quality. Also, they serve Alcohol Brunch on Sundays at just 2500/(with tax).I’ll soon give that I try. 🙂

Another new place in town!!!SAZ American Brasserie, a specialised cocktail den and a gourmet food kitchen. SAZ fuses a contemporary aesthetics with a classical touch, to stand out from typical venues .Coming to the food, ambience and service:1. Food- They have a huge variety of cocktails and food.We had-~ Drinks• Death by Brownie• Loaded Cold CoffeeBoth the shakes were great. We even ordered some of the cocktails, I don’t remember there names exactly, they were good too.~ Starters and Mains• Kale, Melon, Beetroot Salad- Not a big fan of salads, so can’t judge it completely.• El pastor Taco- The tacos were hard-shell tacos, stuffed with chicken, veggies and mayonnaise. This one is highly recommended.• Spinach and Artichoke Pizza- The pizza was thin crust pizza. I didn’t like it much to be honest.• Spicy Cottage Cheese Rice- This one was something new that I had. A preparation of rice which had paneer and• Fish and Chips- You all know the taste of fish a d chips, so it was basically the same.~ Dessert• Buttermilk Pan Cake- This was perfectly sweet. The pancake was soft, the taste was good.• Classic Banoffee Pie- It contains a layer of caramel at the top, with honeycomb. This is a highly recommended dessert.Rating: 4/52. Ambience- The ambience was lit. They have three different sections. The first one is the main area, where you can dine in with your friends and family and also avail the bar section. The second one is the outside area, where you can have the sheeshas and enjoy the atmosphere. The last one is the personal section, which you can visit only if you are a member of SAZ. There are two types of membership which you can avail for, access and premium membership. The charges of the membership varies accordingly.Rating: 5/53. Service- All of them were extremely professional. They were very helpful and humble. Their hospitality is truly appreciated.Rating: 5/5

Pass Code Hospitality which owns Sazerac, the American Brasserie, has launched the SAZ, American Brasserie in Camac Street. Sazerac in Delhi is an American Brasserie; a specialised cocktail den and a gourmet food kitchen. The same concept is maintained in Kolkata. They also own the Ping’s Cafe Orient in Middleton Row. Ping’s Cafe Orient offers the metropolis a fresh and original perspective on south-east Asian street food. I visited SAC on a weekday at around 7:30 PM. The restaurant had no diners. At 9 P.M., when we were leaving there were about 10 more diners present. Positives:· Courteous staff and efficient service.· Approachable bartender who made cocktails based on our taste and they tasted good. · The tables are set at a distance from each other giving the restaurant a spacious look. Unlike maybe for ex: Mamagoto, where I feel people are likely to fall on each other.· Truffled mushroom on sourdough with goat cheese, garlic chips, rosemary and honey. It smelled nice, tasted good and also look good however, let us be honest, the honey absolutely unnecessary. No cutlery to serve it was presented along with it. BTW, I was about to lick the honey used as dressing on the plate but the server took my plate away before I could. Sucks, that I didn’t get to enjoy the unnecessary component of the dish in its entirety :PCan be made into positives:· Dirty and smelly washrooms.· The food reads better in the menu than tastes in real life. The carb free zucchini noodle in spicy basil marinara sauce was disaster. I was expecting my noodles as spaghetti however I was served that in the form of fettuccine. The sauce was an ordinary pasta sauce. I asked them to put a few veggies for me and they added mushrooms and broccoli. However, they charged me for it without information of the extra charge. I wouldn’t have said no to charge but if it’s an extra charge you’re liable to inform me prior to the service. · Unappetizing dessert menu.· The cocktails lacked the charm in terms of presentation, which was a speciality in Bodega, Park Street.I would say that the evening was a mix of the good and the not so good. I would like to visit the restaurant again before I completely write off the food section from my selection of repeatable restaurants. The cocktails as I mentioned before were luscious.Reference:http://getgourmetpassport.com/https://www.passcodehospitality.com/

Saz is the Kolkata outpost of the popular and trendy New-Delhi based American Brasserie SAZERAC.A sexy cocktail den, a gourmet food kitchen that fuses a contemporary NYC aesthetic with Classic Old American vibe, a private dining area named A Ta Maison, says all about this newly opened sassy, elegant & magnificent place at Camac Street! My recent visit to this place turned out to be superb experience with excellent hospitality, great food, exquisite drinks & mention worthy prompt service! Bringing back a classic scene from an authentic ‘American Diner’ ~ casual atmosphere and a combination of booths and a long sit-down counter with direct service, Saz has definitely left me awestruck by it’s mesmerizing charm! Needless to mention, serving comfort food like Quesadilla, Burgers, Salads, etc, their enormous menu consists of hearty appetizers, soulful main course & heavenly desserts.Highly Recommended! kolkatadelites.wordpress.com

The word brasserie, having its origin in France means a restaurant with a relaxed setting serving some single dishes and other meals. Kolkata is all ready to SAZ up their evenings and brunches at this newly opened American Brasserie – SAZ! SAZ, an acronym for Sazerac an old-fashioned local drink originating in New Orleans,USA.Let’s begin with the decor which is classy and tastefully done with brown sofas on one hand and high tables and chairs in the middle and the bar chairs at the long bar on the right side as you enter to the monochrome black and white flooring which gives a heritage feel and the chandeliers which give a royal touch to the ambience. The ceiling on the left as you enter has painted portraits of famous American personalities and there is a corner to the right which has a collage of framed pictures and quotes. The full ambience has been made to give you an American dining experience in Kolkata. Not to forget the FOOD, which is the best!✓Houston, we have a problem- A simple cocktail which is whisky based with Jim Beam, Italian lemon juice, simple syrup, orange marmalade, orange bitters and wheat beer. It is sweet and citrus refreshing, served on the rocks.Price – ₹550✓Chef special mocktail- I like fruity flavoured citrus mockatils and tried a bar tender special mocktail with apple juice, Geradine syrup and orange marmalade. A combination of sweet and refreshing citrus flavours, served on the rocks.Price – ₹245✓Truffled mushroom on sour dough- Mushrooms are my weakness and this is sinfully tempting. Mushroom with goat cheese, garlic chips, rosemary and honey; mixed and served on sour dough; garnished with micro greens is a must have. It has mild flavours of all the ingredients and is delicious.Price – ₹325✓Hassleback Potatoes- Hassleback Potatoes with cheddar hollandaise, fresh red chilli, chives and sour cream is cheesy, saucy and a potato lovers delight. The potatoes are sliced, grilled and then baked in the oven in cheddar hollandaise. Generally hollandaise contains the egg yolk but we got a pure vegetarian version with the same. The potato is mixed with the sauce and smashed to a certain extent and then served. It’s too yum!Price – ₹475✓Sweet potato and bandel cheese tacos- One of the best appetizer to be tried here! Never had sweet potato in tacos. It is a heavenly combination with bandel cheese and avocado on top. Soft and light crisp tacos are tasty and a good finger food.Price- ₹450✓Chorizo enchilada- My first chorizo enchilada and it is already one of my favourite pick here. The enchilada is filled with diced pork sausages and baked with aged cheddar and crackling. It is garnished with tomato salsa, sour cream and avocado paste. One bite and your totally gonna love it! It’s scrumptious and filling!Price – ₹550✓Burrata ravioli- The Burrata Ravioli comes with cherry tomatoes, rocket pesto, black pepper and asparagus tips. The ravioli has a dual cheese filling of burrata and bocconcini. You can feel the grainy to smooth texture of the cheese in your mouth. Tasty and scrumptious!Price – ₹575✓Oreo matcha tarte with grapefruit and orange – Am not a crazy fan of matcha but this one got my heart. Matcha, is a variety of tea and generally consumed for health benefits. This tarte has an Oreo base which is filled with matcha and white chocolate and garnished with imported black grapes. The dessert is sweet and light. It has the colour of matcha tea and looks beautiful. Totally a must try!Price – ₹400As the prices are towards the higher end, the crowd and ambience is maintained. The staff is extremely well trained and has a fabulous knowledge of the food items on the menu. I loved their apron, so American! The bar tender is equally good with cocktails and mocktails. I wanted a palate specific mocktail and that was stirred up for me, which needless to say I enjoyed with the food. They also have a members section which if you are a part of can avail discounts and offers from time to time.I totally loved the ambience and vibe of the place. They play good American music to set the correct mood. It’s a must visit place on Kolkata! Am going back soon. What about you?For more information follow me on my website theetenrovers.com.
