As a customer, I know this shop since my childhood. My experience with this shop is nearly 44 years! Yes, one of the best sweet shop in westbengal if you consider three most famous items- the KHIR-KADAMBA, MISTI DOI and malai chomchom. Though now a days the khir-kadamba not available always. But the owner should aware that this misti is their USP.
A shop so small that it is very likely to be overlooked between the super busy eateries on either side and the busy traffic in the adjoining road. But if u happen to be lucky to get the sight of it, do not miss the ‘Kheer Kadam’ & the ‘Ras Kadam’ there. If you have a sweet tooth like me, you will definitely understand when I say that the 2 mentioned items truly stand by their names in this shop.
Though this place would appear to be very simplistic and one of those unhygienic mohalla wala sweet shops, but trust my words , their sweets are simply out of this world. It is now more than 10 years I have been visiting this shop twice in a year , whenever I hop down at Howrah between my journey from Chennai to Patna. Still the sheer purity and genuineness of the stuff remains the same!Must try their Rosogolla and Mishti Doi!
