খবরটা চোখে পরেছিল ৫ই মার্চ সকালে ‘টাইমস অফ ইন্ডিয়া’-এ। অফার নামক একটি NGO দ্বারা পরিচালিত অানন্দগড় হোমের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা কল্লোল ঘোষ HIV+ কিছু তরুণ-তরুণী কে নিয়ে কলকাতায় একটি ক্যাফে করার চেষ্টা করছিলেন। কিন্তু জায়গার অভাবে শুরু করতে পারছেন না, কিছু মানুষের অজ্ঞানতার জন্য। মনটা একটু খারাপ হলেও তার পর অন্য খবরের মতোই সময়ের নিয়মে প্রায় ভুলতে বসেছিলাম। আর ঠিক তখনই গত ১৯শে জুন খবর পাই যোধপুর পার্কের ইন্দ্রজ্যোতি দাশগুপ্ত তার গ্যারাজে এই ক্যাফেটি করার জন্য রাজি হয়েছেন। সেদিনই ঠিক করেছিলাম, ক্যাফেটিতে যেতেই হবে। এর মধ্যে একাধিক বার Radio Mirchiর হাই কলকাতায় এবং Mir Afsar Ali দার( ফেসবুক লাইভে এই ক্যাফের ব্যাপারে শুনেছিলাম।আর আজ যখন গেলাম, এক রকম কাকতালিয় ভাবেই সেখানে দেখা হয়ে গেল ফুডকা Indrajit Lahiri এবং তার ভাইপো মির দার সাথে। তাই খাওয়ার মজাটা দ্বিগুণ হয়ে গেল।এবার আসি খাবারের দাম ও মানের কথায়। খাবারের মান ও পরিবেশন পদ্ধতি খুব ভালো। দেখে ভালো লাগলো পরিবেশনের প্লেট এমনকি চামচটি ও Bio-degradable। আমার খাদ্য তালিকায় ছিল কর্ণ চিজ স্যান্ডউইচ ও ক্যাপুচিনো। একটু ও বাড়িয়ে বলছি না, দুটির স্বাদ ও মান সুন্দর। আরেকটি জিনিস যেটি মন কারলো সেটি হল আকারে ছোট এই দোকানে মির দা ও ফুডকার সুটিং চললেও আমার মতো একজন সাধারণ ক্রেতাকেও সমান গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হল, যা অনেক পেশাদার দোকানও কখনও কখনও করে উঠতে পারে না।আবার অবশ্যই যাবো এবং বন্ধুদের নিয়েই, এটা বলেই শেষ করবো।

They are making good coffee and various types of cakes, muffins, pastries, cookies etc. Except that they are making veg and chicken sandwich.
Had chicken quiche here and a green tea.The food was great. The ambience was truly amazing. The cause of this cafe is extremely unique. This cafe is a must try in Kolkata.
The history behind this cafe is awesome & inspiring that we all know. But the cafe should increase their variety of food ingredients. Then it will attract more customers.
Visited in the busy hours of Durga Puja. Situated near 95 Pally Jodhpur Park. We just stopped at this joint to have some coffee as were craving for it for long. We ordered a chicken sandwich & coffees. By that time I came to know about the background of this place from the clues given on their walls. Just felt so proud for the great initiative & the work they are doing. Being a social worker I can appreciate the great efforts taken by each one of them involved here. Being a food & coffee lover I must appreciate the great coffee & fast prepared chicken sandwich. Looking forward to visit it again.Saumyajyoti Deb
