Must try their Gulab chai. It’s got this unique scent and essence i have not found anywhere else.Their litti chokha is amazing. If you’re in the area, it’s a must try.Though it’s a bit overpriced for the area.
What makes Sankhar Litti Chokha stand out from it’s competitors is it’s mouthwatering mint chutney and it’s fusion with overwhelming amount of DESI GHEE.Raw yet relevent, with that smoky flavour of charcoal adding to the rustic experience along the ghat of calcutta. It’s not only about the food here but the ambience with a sip of kesari chai is what makes this place more special.
This was one of those rare experiences that open up new undiscovered avenues for your tastebuds. I didn’t know that such a food existed. And I couldn’t be happier that it does. The dish itself is a product of rural Bihar. It costs about 40 Rupees a plate, containing 5 litti balls and aloo chokha. I would be doing it a disservice by trying to describe it in words, I do not have the appropriate vocabulary to do this dish justice, it’s that good. I strongly recommend that you go out there and try it out for yourself. If you haven’t heard of this dish and are a bit skeptical or intimidated to go and try a new dish, don’t be, trust me on this one. Go out and have Litti Chokha from this place and you won’t be disappointed. The price is a tad bit much but this dish makes up for it. So the bottomline that you should be taking away is that you should go and have this dish. I’m glad to have found and tried this place out. Go ahead and try it for yourself, you’ll feel the same.
There’s something quite magical about a beautiful cup of tea warming your heart, while the fresh breeze of the Ganga soothes every nerve in your body!Add to that an unique flavour, a hint of kesar and a TULSI LEAF (!!), It makes for a great tea experience in a city which lives and dies by its matir bharer chas! These hidden gems are the heart and soul of the beautiful city of joy, and they make it worth the while for any food lover!
World’s best litti chokha. Situated near baba boothnath mandir. Very famous place, had their litti chokha soo many times and always get the same delicious experience. Roasted mini hot litti balls dipped in hot ghee served with aloo chokha made with desi spices, tomato & coriander tastes superlicious delicious with mint, coriander chatni. A must try dish. Personally recommended.
It’s near bhootnath temple, Nimtolla Ghat. Exceptionally good taste but you need wait until you get your turn. If you are a litti fan, 1 plate will not be enough for you. Kesar tea from the tea store beside this shop is must try. Area and location is not soo good but the food might cheer you up.
Bhootnath Darshan without Litti from this place seems to be incomplete , They don’t compromise with the quality , highly recommend ,40₹ plate
