A pocket friendly sweet shop in the neighborhood. Best place to buy sweets. They cater for big order for home functions and big occassions at a very reasonable rate. Don’t compare it with big brands. One if the oldest sweet shops in Kolkata.
Vip sweets is very close to my place and I really love their sankho sandesh and roshogolla. This sweet shop is always packed up with customers. And their sweet quality is really awesome
Located near GST bhawan, tried kacha gola only some place put a gud rasgula instead of white rasgula in it, extra point for that would be coming back for that.Rasgulla was decent but the other items I tried like Cadbury branded sandesh was bad, not even fresh and also the chamcham sort of sweet.A score of 3 only for the awsome Kacha gola.
Don’t ever buy from them. The shopkeepers don’t wash hands after visiting washroom. The trays are a feast for all those mice living in the cooler. Horrifying site , just out of the animation movie Ratatoule it is when you find that mice are feeding on sanpapri in the shop display tray, & then when you complain the shopkeeper just say ‘ora chole jabe abar.’ If you love your health find an alternative in the area.
A average pocket friendly sweet shop for the locality. Nothing grand or extraordinary about the place. The sweets are good and service is nice as well. They have almost all kinds of sweets known to the bongs on offer. Good for people who are not willing to spend a hefty amount at other sweatshops neighboring this place. Overall a decent place.
This is a popular sweet shop in the locality. They provide a variety of sweets at reasonable price. Though they do not make great sweets, the pricing and the variety seem to be okay for daily needs. Recently, they have been experimenting with new items like the baked rasogolla and pastries. I tried the chocolate and butterscotch pastries which were okay for Rs10 each (may be offerred to sudden guests instead of sweets)
