If anyone wants a perfect ‘raajgharana’ interior, this place is perfect for him. The ambiance, decoration, services will definately amaze you. But, when it comes to food quantity and taste, it is totally disappointing. When you are investigating such amount, there are more expectations obviously. Quantity is very poor and taste is average. I found the place photogenic or for photo shoot more than a restuarant. It is 1700-2000 for two.Ambiance 5/5Price 2/5Taste 2.5/5Service 4/5
Have visited this place during Durga Puja with my family. I have made an early reservation. The place and the decor and everything was so good. Especially the idol of maa Durga and the dance and folk songs performed by a group made the ambience so memorable. The buffet menu was exquisite, ranging from authentic Bengali dish to North Indian and Chinese as well. The quantity of food was good. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The only disappointment was being chargeddd 500 rs for 2 cans of sprite, Who’s marked price is not more than 45 Rs each can.
Top marks for ambience for this oneIt’s part of the Raj Kutir Boutique Hotel at Swabhumi, so that adds to the vibe too.Went here with my family. I had heard about the decor from quite a few friends and surely enough, it IS beautiful.Food.Portions are less for the prices. All delicious though. We ordered the legendary prawn cocktail and pine smoked Darjeeling tea beckty for starters. The prawn comes on an ice sculpture of a hand. I absolutely loved the beckty.MainsYellow coconut rice, keema mughlai paratha and beckty meuniere. All so good. They take a long time to bring the food to your table but it’s worth the wait. Although, we were one of two groups dining there that night, so I was expecting quicker service. The cuisine is colonial style so don’t expect regular Bengali food here. But one of us wanted regular fish curry (not on the menu) and the chef accommodated. Cooked us a homely fish gravy with cauliflowers and all. Will definitely revisit.Recommended!
Location:- Located just beside swabhumi inoxAmbience:- It deserves a 5star rating for the ambience. Such a Royal ambience. So much soothing decor. Ambience makes this place a must visit.Food:- Food is undoubtedly good. But quantity is a bit less according to the price. We ordered a starter of bhetki fish. Then murgh pulao with golbari chicken. All were very tasty.Service:- Service was prompt. Very courteous staff. They will even suggest you dishes & will take care of every small thing.Overall:- I have given a 4star just because of the price. Otherwise definitely a must visit place.
The food deserves a rating of 5, but the whole experience leaves a lot to be desired.Visited East India Room for a Durga Puja Special Lunch Buffet. While each and every dish delivered on quality and taste, but the whole management of the event was patchy. Priced at 1200, it’s an awesome journey of deliciousness.
A beautiful decored place with amazing food. Service is top notch. While we had a amazing time gazing at the decor and enjoyed the food we did face a very serious problem. The place doesn’t have wheelchair access. Hope this can be taken care of very soon. Rest we had a amazing time. Highly recommended.. Will visit soon✌️
