The bakery at Hyatt regency Kolkata has a prime array of snacks and dessert. I had opera cake and chicken croissant. It was excellent. And I loved the hot chocolate
Best cheese cake i ever had.The best thing about the bakery at Hyatt Regency is that they give you a flat 50% discount on all bakery items after 9pm everyday. So if you want to get awsome bakery items in a pocket friendly cost, visit this joint after 9pm.
This place is opposite to the reception lounge. I have had fruit danish, chicken tikka puff, chicken croissant, mississippi mud pie and red velvet cake. Superb delectable offerings. I always like them a lot.
Visited this place on the evening of Feb 19 to pick up a cake for my brothers birthday. Didn’t know what awaited me was the worst customer service possible. The man behind the counter said that he has disposed off all the cake and there is nothing left to give me. Upon telling him to enquire with the chef he said that he knows better than us and that once he’s said the cake is not available then we shouldn’t bother him further. After further requesting him to check, he asked us to wait and to continue showing his authority he was aimlessly dusting the counter top. After asking for the third time he asked us to come down with him to the coffee shop and then said that a cake is available but he will be unable to give us the happy hour discount. Upon asking why he said that because he said so and that there are rules (which apparently only he knows about). We ended up taking three pastries which was nothing but overload of sugar. It was so sweet that no one ended up eating it. I wish I remembered his name but unfortunately missed out on that. Please avoid this place. Wonder if they are running a business of hospitality or one where they harass the customers.
After a nice meal at Guchi (Hyatt) along with my best friend, it was time for some desserts – and bingo! We found this in-house bakery of Hyatt situated just besides their exit! Without a second thought, we occupied a seat and asked for their menu! They do have a very decent range of pastries as well as savouries on offer and we were more than spoilt for choice! We opted for their Grand Truffle slice without much hesitation as that one completely stood out from the lot – we were already drooling litres from our tongue just by the glimpse of it!Once served, we devoured it to our heart’s content and yes, this goes down as 1 of the best truffles we ever had! Almost perfect, neither too creamy, nor too chocolatey, neither too sugary, nor too spongy – everything was almost perfect!Pocket pinch was 190 bucks only, which is pretty much ok considering that this is a 5-star property! Service and ambience (obviously), everything was fine!3 CHEERS!
The Bakery at Hyatt Regency Kolkata has a fine array of desserts and savoury snacks to choose from. This particular dessert is my all time favourite. Their fruits are always the freshest in the market!
