Sweet shops in Bengal are in hundreds, but ones like these stand out for their traditional bengali sweets and snacks. The Mughlai Paratha and Chops are good to kill for.

Mukherjee Sweets has always upheld their position as one of the most popular snack shops in South Kolkata. And boy, they are good! The mutton chop (priced at Rs. 30) is to die for. A tiny bite through the thin crunchy layer into the delicious layer of cooked mutton makes the person reach seventh heaven. You cannot stop at one!The egg chop (priced at Rs. 25) is great too. The thin biscuity layer reveals a well cooked egg underneath, and though not as good as the mutton chop, it is definitely better than most of the ones I’ve ever had.The vegetable chop(Rs. 12) was extremely good and though I’m purely non vegetarian, I quite enjoyed it.The sweets, however, aren’t that good. And it is advisable not to try out sweets. If feed your gluttonous meat loving self a good mutton chop or fish kabiraji, a visit to the tiny shop in Ballygunge should definitely be your priority.

An heritage sweet and moglai shop. They serve varity of authentic sweets with one of the rare shop at south kolkata (ballygunge) offers moglai paratha, kobiraji , pure motton, chicken and veg chop. The price is still so much pocket friendly. I rate 4.9/5 .

Had tried the Chicken Kabiraji from here. But I didn’t like it that much.It was too oily and literally there was no taste in the food except for the central part.

Just an average sweet shop with normal varieties of sweets like you find in most outlets. Their sandesh can come out stale sometimes so be careful.
