  Went there first time for quick bite and go and man the kababs were so amazing! Second time went there for main course and couldn’t just leave without trying 3 amazing kababs that they have. I found a new place for my North Indian food sucking palate. This is a small cosy place perfect for adda with friends with kababs. We tried the amazing pyare kababs, chicken cheese kabab, reshmi kabab and a new addition to their menu chicken Pankhuri kabab – all of them were so succulent and delicious. Next item to try is Afghani roll- heard they are Amazing.

  #NewDhabaintownমাঝরাতের খিদের উপশমে লেক ভিউ রোডের উপরে নতুন ধাবার সন্ধান পাওয়া গেছে, Hungry Singh da Dhaba। Panchphoron এর আমন্ত্রণে পৌঁছে গেলাম এক রবিবারের দুপুরে। বড়ো রাস্তার উপরে রেস্তোরাঁ খুঁজে পেতে কোনো সমস্যা হয়নি, লরির সামনের অংশ দিয়ে প্রধান দরজার সাজ দারুন। ভিতরে ১৫-১৬জনের জন্য শীতাতাপ নিয়ন্ত্রিত বসার জায়গা। রঙিন ভাঁড়ে এক কাপ চা দিয়ে আমাদের অভ্যর্থনা জানালো। কিছু অপেক্ষার পরে নানান খাবার একে একে টেবিলে আসতে লাগলো।এক ঝলকে দেখে নেই সেদিনের খাবারের মেনুতে কি কি ছিল:◆Pyarein Kebab◆Pankhuri Hariyali Kebab◆Chicken Cheese Kebab◆Chicken Afghani Roll◆Kashmiri Polau◆Mutton ra-ra◆Punjabi Chicken◆Kolhapuri Veg◆Butter KulchaPankhuri বা Wings কাবাবের স্বাদ দারুন ছিল, চিজ কাবাবের মাংস দারুন নরম হলেও স্বাদ আরেকটু ভালো হলে ভালো হতো। এখানের স্পেশাল রুমালি রুটির রোল দারুন ছিল, নরম রুটির সাথে টক ঝাল পুর মন কেড়ে নিয়েছে। পোলাউ এর সাথে মাটনের মিলমিশ বেশ জমাটি। এছাড়াও ভেজ কোলাপুরীর স্বাদ ও পাঞ্জাবি চিকেন ও ভালোই।ঘুরে আসতে পারেন গড়িয়াহাট বা রাসবিহারী মোড়ের কাছে থাকলে। দুপুর ১২টা থেকে বিকেলে ১২তা অব্দি খোলা থাকে। এছাড়াও নানান উপায়ে অনলাইনেও অর্ডার দিতেই পারেন।ঠিকানা: 56A Lake View Road, Lake Market Area#spoonsnforks #diariesofdru #eatwellbewell #ভালোখেয়েভালোথেকো#am2pmfood #panchphoron

  Hungry Singh Da Dhaba is a new joint opened at Lake View Road. The concept is an amalgamation of road side dhaba and quaint cafe prepares some great Indian dishes. In starters we commenced with Chicken Pyare Kebab, is a delighting non-vegetarian starter is a popular steer food in Northern parts of India. The spiced flavorful chicken mince is shaped onto skewers and cooked slowly on a tandoor (clay oven) so that the kebabs come out soft and perfect. This was followed by Chicken Pankhudi Kebab is spiced chicken wings smoked over a charcoal sigri. Marinating the chicken for a long period of time to develop enough flavor is the key here. Chicken wings are marinated in the mixture of curd, cilantro and mint and grilled in oven. Lastly we had Chicken Cheese Kebab is cheese layered chicken kebab is one of the specialties of the house. The spice mixed and pre-marinated thigh chicken pieces sewer inside tandoor and finished baking with melted cheddar cheese on the top. They also prepare the favorite street food of Kolkata, any guesses? Yes its kaathi roll. Once such variant they prepare is Afghani Roll, a lip smacking roll of a roomali roti stuffed with a flavorful chicken filling. This is an Indianised version of frankie. The tawa prepared roti gives a lovely smoky flavor to the roll. Goes perfectly with a high tea or as an evening snack. In fact all their kebab preparations must be enjoyed with piping hot masala tea served in hand painted colorful clay pot.In the main course we had Punjabi Chicken. This is a classic Indian dish, vibrant with rich flavorful gravy. It is a popular dhaba style dish with succulent chicken pieces cooked in a heartwarming spice mix. The rich creamy gravy is what makes this curry exotic and appealing. I think the kitchen can work a bit on the spice mix in the preparation. Next was Kolhapuri Veg is mixed vegetables in a thick and spiced gravy. This dish curry lives up to its expectation as it has very aromatic and spicy flavor that it gets from a specially blended curry masala powder. There two dishes can be very well with thin soft Butter Kulcha they served.In rice we had Kashmiri Rice. This is pulao preparation comprising of three layers. At the bottom there is white rice, followed by layer of yellow rice and the top layer is overdose of saffron and shallow fried dry fruits. The dish was aromatic, mild and on the sweeter side. This is best accompanied by the final presentation Rara Gosht. This is ideally a very unique mutton recipe as it combines the mutton pieces along with the mined mutton. Mutton chunks cooked in gravy of spicy minced mutton, soaked with rare spices, rara gosht is every bit regal in taste. But here the dish has failed in two cases. This has not served in a minced mutton gravy and the taste was very bland.A group of young entrepreneurs has started this outlet to bring in authentic taste of Indian cuisines from the streets of Delhi.
