Have visited here aplenty aince childhood..Remember when Baba used to bring the various namkeens and sweets for us very often while returning from office..Must say the standards have dropped..Famous for their motipak,Kalakand,Imarti,Laddoos,Pinni,Chandrakala,Balushahi and other items.
One of the most visited sweet shop in south kolkata. Probably from childhood I visit the shop. Each and every items are tried and tasted. I must say their kalakand in sweet segment and nimki in snack segment are my favourite. But the price is on the higher side. Oh! Their paneer is worth mentioning.
A good place for delicious chaats and sweets. We had aloo tiki chaat , dahi vada chaat and kheer. What surpasses the amazing chaats is the behaviour of the staffs.
Worst service ever. We were the first customers to visit the outlet in the morning. Yet we were served last everytime we ordered something. May be bcoz we were less in number than others. At last we ordered dhokla but it fell into a fool’s ear. The last dhokla was served to someone who ordered later than us. For a brkfast joint there were not prepared with anything. Who take there brkfast @12? Most of the food were stale and cold.
Located at the Taratala crossing, this os one of the oldest sweet shop in the area. Frequent visitor to this shop to get the gift packs – sweets and dry fruits for my relatives. Lassi and the kaju barji are my favorites. pamelanandi.wordpress.com
Bikaner Bhujiwala is an age old shop, known for its history and quality of food.This particular joint is located at Taratala Crossing. With its huge, red name plate it is hard not to notice it.Bikaner Bhujiwala sells all sorts of manufactured items like shonpapri or bhujia. Besides these, they have a veg menu which has a decent taste.This place is moderately crowded most of the time because of its small floor spacing. But on the brighter side, the staff here has quick pair of hands. Service is fast, and they definitely leave customers satisfied and full. pattypant.wordpress.com
I visited this place a lot of times most recently last week. Their taste is deteriorating day by day. Most recent tried their Dani vada, not good as if I was trying something tasteless dipped inside curd. Lassi was good but not great. I will recommend everyone to visit tewari brothers in Taratala for this kind of food. Can’t comment on their sweets haven’t tried them evr.
