A classy restaurant serving great quality continental cuisines. I have been there twice. On any weekend you can find a bunch of people are standing in a queue in front of the restaurant. It remains that much crowded. I have tested their ala Kiev, chicken steak, chilly fish, a la mocambo and brownie with ice cream. All the items were good but my suggestion will be stick to continental dishes when in mocambo. Specially their heritage dishes are identified on the menu card. Give them a try.
Fish florentine was superb. So creamy, soft fish. Prawn cocktail was a tad bit too much on flavours. Not a fan of their soufflé. Chicken drum was also good. Really really good experience.
It is an upscale restaurant, situated at the vicinity of other very famous restaurants at Park Street. Still it holds a special place in the minds of the citizens. We went there to have lunch today. They have enough space to manage the crowd but it is advised to book a table before coming. The interior was beautiful with dimmed light and their signature sitting arrangements. They serve sea foods, poultry and all kinds of red meats. A full bar is available. Refrain yourself from smoking inside the restaurant as it is smoke free. We tried Clear Asparagus Soup, Pepper Devilled Crab, Mixed Fried Rice, Chicken Kebab Masala. All the items were delicious, though I felt lack of salt in the soup. A must try is their Crab items, steak items. Choose your menu carefully as they serve beef as well as pork.
Heard a lot about the place and finally were there for a small closed celebration. We ordered: 1. Devilled Crab2. Fish florentine3. Beef steak sizzler4. Beer and a Screw Driver5. Caramel CustardConsidering the menu, the place is quite affordable. The ambience was nice and staffs are courteous and professional. We liked the food specially the beef steak sizzler. But Fish Florentine was not that upto the expectation. Anyway, since we chose to visit the place on a Kolkata-Strike afternoon, the crowd was less and we had a nice time there.
Visited this place for lunch and ordered a couple of things . The ambience was a classy one.After having the Tandoori Chicken Steak , a lot of rashes came out into my face and palm of my hand .I have visited the doctor as well on 31st December and they comfirmed that the food was the reason for such conditions. People who have allergy should stay away from steak. Baked Alaska was not upto the mark rather it was very disappointing.Coming to the Biriyani, tha taste of the Biriyani was below average.Apart from this , they have a lovely classy ambience and the crowd is also good. They have some excellent staff who were all behaved .
This place is located at park Street. This is a very well known place. Vintage style interior which hold the tradition. Staff were very helpfull and courteous. Coming foods yes deviled crab was mind blowing. But i didn’t like there chiken Stroganoff.
