It was my first visit here and went there for a birthday treat. This renowned restaurant has 3 types of seating arrangement which are huge i.e. family, regular (alcohol allowed) and open seating with umbrella. We were in group, so we order lots of stuffs such as Chicken Tikka, Paneer Tikka, Handi Meat, Dahi Mutton, Mutton Korma and Tandoori Roti. Order were served one by one and it takes some time because of unstoppable rush here.Chicken Tikka -6 pcs were given and the size was good enough. Preparation was perfect and it was served with salad and sprinkled with chaat masala for taste. Chicken was boneless and had the perfect texture of softness. Taste was excellent.Paneer Tikka -6 pcs were given. The size of the cubes could have been more big. It was nicely prepared which had the smoky flavor of tandoor. It was served with onion salad and sprinkled with chaat masala. Paneer was soft and fresh.Handi Meat -Mutton pcs were big but with bone. Meat was extremely soft. It was cooked properly as the spices were absorbed by the meat. Gravy was very tasty with thick texture and less spicy.Other 2 mutton dish plus handi meat were more or less similar in terms of taste and gravy. Dahi meat had very minimal hint of sourness which was great whereas handi meat had flavors of raw Indian spices.Tandoori Roti -Roti was big with perfect softness as well as crispness. It was not overheated thus had minimal black spots. Taste was good and was the perfect thing in the house to eat with the mutton dishes.It was a great experience in all terms. Hospitality was great. Staffs were prompt and well-behaved. Manager came to us for review of the food. And food was top quality indeed. No questions regarding that. Will visit again in future for sure.

This restaurant is located near Sukanta Nagar. According to me, it’s one of the best restaurants around this area to gorge on some really delicious north-indian cuisines. This restaurant has 3 sections, one’s for food n drinks, one is only for food basically for families and the other one is also for food n drinks but it has an outdoor seating arrangement.Quite spacious for both families and friends to spend time over quality food.I went with my family for a special celebration.We took:•Butter tandoori Roti•Navratna•Paneer Butter masala•Plain Rice• Fried Dal•Mixed Fried rice•Chicken Manchurian.Everything was good but I liked the north indian dishes more than Chinese ones.But overall, nice family kinda ambience with good quality food!

Introduction:An old landmark and undoubtedly the busiest joint on Jessore Road is Sher-e-Punjab Dhaba.A name that itself has become the introduction over the years, Sher-e-Punjab is a favourite haunt for weekend or along a long drive.Atmosphere:Occupying a big premise, it is divided into three zones. The Pink Room, the Family Room and the Open Air. Each zone has its own atmosphere. The Family Room is theme decorated. The Pink Room & Open Air seem to be assembled with furniture. Compared to its reputation and footfall there is immense scope for improvement of the ambience.Food:Sher-e-Punjab is famous for its North Indian varients. However, it has an equally extensive menu for Chinese food items. Apart from alcoholic beverages, shakes & mocktails are also served.Some of the names in the menu are seasonal. Missi Roti, Makkhe di Roti and Sarsun ka Saag are available in winter only.What We Ordered:Here I went with my family which consists of three members including me.We ordered for Tandoori Chicken in starter. Rara Mutton and Butter Nun made up the main course. The Tandoori Chicken was tender and juicy. It was the right amount of crisp outside and soft cooked chicken meat inside. It was served with Onion Salad. The mutton was tender with lightly spiced curry. The Nun was soft and tasteful.Staff & ServiceI have visited this eatery house a number of times and have observed the improvement in service. The floor manager and his subordinates helped to get a table reserved at quickest even during that rushed hour. Recently the restaurant management has started taking customer feedback. Hope the feedback will help to cover improvements in near future.Honourable MentionThe recent improvement in service quality is worth mentioning.RecommendationYes for being one of the oldest running eatary house. If one is living in the northern par of the city they can pay a visit with family or friends.
