I have not had a worse meal in ages. This place delivered just that. I had a lot of expectations, but none even came through it. I would still recommend the gravy noodles, other than that it’s not a nice place. Ambience is not nice either. Extremely disappointed.

You know how sometimes the most unexpected of things, the unnoticed and the unheeded, burst into your life and a world of all things new and unexplored explodes into your existence?Well that’s Tai Chien for you. It is quiet and unassuming, and doesn’t have so much as a chair to sit on or a counter to keep a plate of food on. What it does have is a menu that lists more items than you could have in half a year, and an authentic Chinese and Thai aesthetic in its food. You won’t taste MSG here, nor the sting of artificial flavouring. You will however, taste the fresh, crunchy flavours of bok choy, and the garlicky aroma of crispy pan fried noodles; the sweet and salty stir fried chicken cooked with bamboo shoots and rich gravy , and the soft, melt-in-your-mouth goodness of rice noodles.I’ve eaten many a time, here. Chicken in Oyster Sauce, Vegetarian Pan fried noodles ( I am not a vegetarian. This genuinely tastes better what with the ridiculous number of different vegetables that stew in it) and Egg drop soup and Schezwan Fried Rice and so much more- and I’ve never once regretted it. The food is light, fragrant and delicious. It’s a little expensive, yes.But it’s worth it. Give it a shot and it may overtake several of your favourite Asian restaurants.

Terrible terrible Food! Iam normally pretty lenient when rating, specially when its Chinese I tend to look past a lot of things. But tai chien village food really drove me up the wall. We did a take away fried rice , chicken in white gravy and chicken in black bean sauce. Where should I start.Chicken fried rice – let’s not call these Chinese, this was like local station oily rice chicken pulao. There was no Chinese aroma nor was there any taste. Oily hard rice. Chicken pieces were Decent and in plentiful though.Chicken in black bean and chicken in white sauce: many diced chicken solid chunks which was nice but in super watery gravy, and almost no vegetables. Looks like they poured cups of water into this to increase the gravy. The water diluted the 90% of the taste. Thankfully there were many chicken pieces which was the only good part. You guys really need to pull up your socks!!

Changing the review based on received t experiences. The place is back to it’s glory. Ordered Chinese food on new years eve. Everything tasted outstanding. Much love.

I ordered Nam prik praw kai. That was basically burnt fried chicken. The prawns (Nam prik praw goong prawns) were normal small prawns and probably 6-8 in number. The plastic box in which it came was nearly empty. It cost me Rs300. The hakka noodles and the fried rice were pretty normal too, comparable to the road side stalls. Overall I was not satisfied at all.

visited twice in the little app offer, in 400 rupees they have given chicken soup, chicken starter, chicken main dish, chicken side dish & two ice cream. quality of food is good apart from the soup, its disgusting. but the only problem is that the pieces of the chicken is very small apart from that all is good, ambience is good & service is fast, staffs are well behaved.

Had the opportunity to try their food at an ongoing food festival. The name caught my attention. More so because I have never visited the restaurant. Tried their Chinese combos. The pricing as per the festival was quite reasonable. The taste was also good, but they still need to improve more on the quality, but good as a tummy filling lunch combo. thebongtrippers.wordpress.com
