A well renouned place in the city,famour its traditional Chelo Kebab.So,afer much wait got an opportunity to try it out for myself.I had their Chelo Kabad (the original).The kebabs were very nice,soft & succulent.The butter rice was also good,but I found it to be bit oily.Over all,the platter is really nice & a must try dish.But may seem bit rich to some.I also got their strawbery shake on the side.Really loved it a lot.
I went to this for the second time on Christmas Eve. It is obviously one of the most famous places to visit in park steet on Christmas. Therefore we got there after waiting in a long queue. Earlier when i visited the chello kebad was much better than this time. The rice and kebab both was unsatisfactory. I felt the quality is not worth the price. On the other hand, the sizzler was better than chello kebab. If i ever visit again, I’ll go the sizzler. Maybe their quality is really decreasing or it was because if Christmas rush but the quality was disappointing.
This place is best known for their chello kebab, which is alright, but what impressed us the most is their grilled beckty and fried beckty, both of them were extraordinary, particularly the grilled one! We also tried their hot chocolate but didn’t particularly like it, tasted more like bournvita.We also liked the red ambience of the place.
My uncle took us here the night before Christmas eve, and we had a 90-minute wait before we could be seated. The place can accommodate a lot of diners though.We ordered chelo kebab platters each, and the quantity was really good. Four different types of kebabs were served along with rice. I am a born and raised Calcuttan and have always loved the Chello kebab here. Went there today after years. After a 1.5 hr wait, we finally got a table. We order the Chello – veg and non veg and a sizzler. To say the food was bad is an understatement. Absolutely flavourless. Not going back. I want to believe this was a result of the festive rush though I am not sure. Sad that a Calcutta Classic is ruined in my mind for good..!
Just opposite Pizza hut ,Park Street Area.. Though it looks simple from the outside but the moment you stepped in the classy ambience will never disappoint you!Coming to the food – we ordered their recommend Sizzler & it’s a must try..For drinks it was Weeding Night Cocktail ..Everything was up to the mark.. overall must visit the place.
