Serampore is a town known for its sweets. There are many local sweetshops which have been there for ages. Grandfathers used to buy sweets from there. Now the grandchildren buy sweets from the same places. This place is like that. সন্দেশ, রসগোল্লা, পান্তুয়া, চমচম, কড়া পাকের সন্দেশ, নরম পাকের সন্দেশ what not. Every item is savoury.
