Sukhsagar is one of the oldest restaurant in Serampore. It serves some lipsmacking dishes especially the bengali cuisine is amazing here but then I fell it is very overpriced. If the price can be curbed to a certain extent, it will be better for the customers.
One of the best (if not the best) restaurants of Serampore. Enjoying their foods for more than a decade now. Must try dishes are – Mutton Biryani, Chicken BBC Butter Masala, Tadka, Fish Fry, Special Fried Rice, Dry Chilli Chicken, Pomfret Curry, Special Thali, Gravy Chowmein, Mutton and Chicken Chaps. Their Biryani is undoubtedly the best of Serampore. I believe Biryani must be spicy and oily or else it shouldn’t be called Biryani. Their Biryani is definitely not for modern silly figure conscious people who are used to eating of light yellow coloured meat rice. It has rich aroma with chunks of mutton and chicken.
