This place is absolutely beautiful . The overall palace is big and open love the indoor outdoor seating area but the main restaurant is a bit cramped. The staff is courteous and friendly but the only negative about this palace is the limited food options. I hope they will come up new food menus soon.
We went to Denmark Tavern yesterday. We had veg hot and sour soup, grilled fish with lemon mustard sauce, roasted chicken, dry chilli chicken, tea, danish pastry with icecream. The food was great. The ambiance was superb. Old Danish style architecture was the centre of attraction. There is also an accomodation facility available on the top floor. A Flurys outlet is there outside. View of Ganges from the top looks amazing. In the evening the Tavern looks mesmerizing. Stuff were courteous, orders were served without much delay. Price is on the higher side though, but given the quality they maintain I think it’s worth it. Only problem I found is commuting if you are coming by road. I booked an auto from Uttarpara to Serampore and vice versa.Food – 9/10Ambiance – 10/10Service – 7/10Value for Money – 6/10
Very beautiful, authentic, traditional interior decor. Food menu is limited but has variety. Price is a bit on the higher side but taste and quantity wise , it was good enough. Staffs were courteous but took a long time to serve and yet the momos were cold. I loved the ambience.
The ambience is amazing. Food’s taste is awesome. I ordered Chicken & cheese Sandwich with Veg, Danish Roast Chicken(Boneless), Danish Chicken Sausage, Cafe Latte and Cappuccino.
The ambience is amazing and that’s the only reason why i have it two stars. Other than that everything was horrible. The staff was very inattentive. The food here is tge worst i have tasted in a long time. We had-Cold coffee- very average. They did’nt even make it sweet at first.Danish grilled chicken- the chicken was stale and it tasted wierd. Because of the sauce we managed to eat it. Otherwise it was disgusting.Chicken pizza- the chicken here also tasted and smelled stale. When we complained to the chef about it, he simply denied. They didn’t even bother to replace the food items and were lying that it was a smell from the oven, when indeed the chicken was stale.Danish pastry- the only decent food item we had that day.I would recommend all to not try any non vegetarian items from this place, since the quality of food served is very bad. Having stale meat might affect your health and for which these people have no regard.
Visited this place 2day..Decor and Ambience of the place is very nice..But the food was awful..The chicken was stale and had a stingy smell..Horrible taste and food quality..The staff’s were very impolite and extremely bad and slow service..Chef was horrible..Improvements required..Not recommendable at all..Overall experience was not good
A quaint & rustic place with an amazing view of the riverside.Been there with few friends last winter.Ambiance & food quality gets 5/6,portion size bit small compared to the pocket pinch.We orderedGolden fried prawns (amazing in taste),Danish roast chicken (moist & tender) &Gooey chocolate mud cake with vanilla ice cream.I have attached the menu with prices.A must visit place in calm winter evening beside the river,for an amazing view & dining experience.
