A hidden jem. One of the very few good eateries in greater Kolkata. One of the oldest restaurants in Khardah. Maintaining excellent quality of food over a long period. Can give a lot of so called famous Kolkata restaurants a run for their money. It has that old school charm like Basanta Cabin or Ananda Cabin. Specialises in fried items (telebhaja). Must haves are:- Mutton Braised Cutlet- Fish fry- Chicken Cutlet & Kobiraji- Egg chow (Bangali style)- Mughlai Paratha (the best by far)- Mutton fry or Chicken fry (not for the faint hearted)- Special TeaHighly recommended.
Taste is good but mutton pices are too small.
