I’ve been here on each of my trips to Howth. The location is just perfect since it’s right beside the Dart station and a short walk away from the pier. It’s usually very crowded on weekends. A great place to enjoy a pint when the sun is out. Food is also good. I tried the fish and chips, both of which were nice and crispy. Overall good value for money.
Great spot for some authentic Howth village pints. The food is also quite good; portion sizes that are more than satisfactory, nothing overly exotic on the menu, but when it’s executed well there’s no need for frivolity. The price is also very reasonable.
I went here for lunch yesterday I had been told the food was good . I got the blt sandwich and asked to add chicken which was no problem but was 4€ extra, it came with soup or fries . I chose the soup which was parsnip and honey it was lovely . However 16€ was quite pricey for soup and sandwich . My boyfriend got the wings and chips which were tasty . Lovely setting inside and staff were very friendly.
We ended our Sutton to Howth cliff walk in the bloody stream in Howth on Sunday.i had the traditional fish&chips.i highly recommend this the batter was very thin & crispy& fish was so fresh.the chips were home made &sprinkled with sea salt.tartar sauce & mushy peas on the side to add to the lovely meal. A one man band played music as we ate.great end to a great day
The Bloody Stream is always packed on a sunny day. Chances are there’s a load of tourists as well as locals because It’s just under the dart station and at the end of the the hiking trail. It’s popular for fish and chips and has a late licence on the weekend. Great atmosphere for match days but service can be relaxed when it’s so busy.
