I went to Beshoff just once. Someone told that it is the best fish and chips in the city. I really liked it but it’s not my thing. Too much fried for me. However, it’s a good option for who likes a fast, cheap and tasty fish and chips meal. I tried the codfish and the onion rings. The codfish was nice but the onion rings were too oily.
Been a while since I’ve eaten in here although they have just recently done the place up so a return visit is in the pipeline, always seems to be busy anytime I go by no doubt due to its location so they’re doing something right. Last two times I’ve been in here I’ve been a broke student so I could never go beyond ordering the cod and chips, the portions are quite big (which is always a good thing) with the fish always being tasty (if a bit soapy tasting sometimes) and the chips are delish too. Price wise as far as I can remember the cod and chips is about €8-9 and then you can’t not get a chipper without making an obligatory chip butty with bread and butter on the side being an extra euro or so. Next time I frequent here I’ll definitely order something a bit more exotic, possibly the ray as that’s something I’ve been wanting to try the last while. Would choose Beshoffs over Leo Burdocks any day!
