During our Dublin trip, we craved for some spicy Indian food and thus headed to this place. Though the name is Kathmandu kitchen, they not only serve Nepaleese food, but, also Indian food.Food- We ordered their chicken steamed momos(Good quantity and taste was also equally good)The dal tadka was good and it tested even better with the Indian breadThe chicken biryani was a let down as I spite of our instructions to make it spicy, it was absolutely tasteless and no spice at allCustomer service- GoodAmbience- Looks like this place is quite popular and always gets crowded. It has 2 floors of seating, GF and Mezanne Vale for money- Moderate
Recently visited this place to dine with a friend. The interior of this place always make you feel presence of Nepal. 🙂 We ordered plain rice, kerau paneer, and tandoori rotis. Delicious food with good customer oriented service make this place to visit again. Thank you to the chef for delicious food and staff for their customer service.
Gazing at the menu in the window, it became very easily apparent that this place was a twin sibling of nearby Diwali, as its menu is very similar, and being a Diwali fan, it made the day’s choice of lunch venue even easier. The restaurant is very large and had just 3 other patrons (at 1.30pm on a Monday), both unlike its sibling, but I suspect that it gets busy on weekend evenings in particular, especially given the excellent food that was to follow.A €9.95 4-Course Lunch is also offered here, which is fantastic value. Poppadums, chutney, yoghurt dip and excellent marinated onions were followed by my starter of Sheekh Kebab – tender lamb sausages with tamarind sauce and a tasty slad of red cabbage, lettuce and tomato. Lamb Madras (ordered to be extra spicy) was beautiful – never as spicy as I would like but the chunks of roast lamb were lean, flavoursome and tender, as was the Madras and the aromatic pilau rice. The Terry’s Moonlight chocolate mint that came with the bill served as a final reminder of its link to Diwali – the food is excellent in both, so if you fancy some peace and quiet come here, and if you want buzziness, go to Diwali!
