Went there to have momos specifically. Sat and were placing the order for some drinks starters and obviously, momos. Heard an extremely weird rule that you “have to” order 1 main course per person. We mentioned that we are already ordering drinks and a lot of starters and we said we would tell them if we want more food, they refused to serve us.I don’t think they understand the meaning of hospitality. They are one of the only rude people I found in Dublin. Suggestion guys- DO NOT SPOIL THE DUBLIN EXPERIENCE. I would never go back there. And also, I would recommend a place called Diwali, same menu, much better service!

Some good tasting food, not too expensive!Nice Nepalese food. We were a large group and the service went smoothly. Very quick! The food was good, with flavor, just not amazing. Loved the dumplings for a starter. The Dhal Bhat was my main. It is nice because you get a lot to try. The lamb was good and also the chicken skewers. Not too expensive either. Good place, just not memorable!

Myself and my boyfriend went here after Kevin Hart in the three arena last night. This was our second time going to this Nepalese restaurant. Service was flawless, food was delicious and atmosphere was lovely. They had lovely menu of many wines to choose from and we were given complimentary papadums. I found their menu very good as the dishes were explained well so it’s not too difficult to order if you aren’t familiar with the cuisine. We got the platter for two to share as our starter. Every piece of food on the plate was eaten, I was very impressed. For my main I got the Bambari chicken with plain rice and shared a garlic nan with my boyfriend who’s dish was very tasty also. We were too full for desert as we demolished our starter and mains. The food was also brought out quickly, I felt I wasn’t waiting long for any part of the meal without feeling rushed. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you like this type of cuisine as the food is gorgeous. I will definitely be returning sooner rather than later. Thanks Montys!

This place has suffered over the past few years. What was once the best place to go for Indian/Nepalese cuisine, Montys is letting it’s standards slip. From presentation to flavours they seem to have let themselves go – perhaps they have a new chef! It is quite pricey so I will probably be avoiding here going forward. Also, the closure of the Rathgar venue was disappointing as it always had a pleasant atmosphere.
