I’m from Texas and I’d like to think I know something about ribs. That’s what I had and they were awesome. My Texas pride keeps me from giving this place 5/5, but they probably deserve it. The fish and chips are excellent as well. 🙂
Great place to meet meet people and relax after long day. Variety of beers and other alcohols. I don’t demand anything more from the pub.The building is huge and impressing, even if there’s a crowd inside, you can find a seat or something. That’s a big advantage in comparison to pubs for example in Temple Bar.
The backdrop/decor here is quite impressive so it is a genuine shame that the management and the cuisine let the place down so badly. If you enjoy lashings of grease and batter with your food, then you’re in fabulous luck here (see picture for back-up verification). There were 14 of us on a night out and we asked that a certain rugby match that we had an interest in be put on the TV screen in front of us – we were told that unfortunately this was not possible as 1 local man was present who wanted to watch Middlesboro versus Reading – not on the screen that was 5 feet in front of him, but rather on the screen that was 30 foot away from him instead. You literally couldn’t make it up. This is a local pub for local people, apparently.
Great Bartenders and excellent service. My Wife and I have been twice during our vacation and will be back! Wide variety of beers and ciders..try the Orchard Thieves Apple.
I have been here a few times and it’s a great little spot for a pint after work. The bar food is lovely. I highly recommend the Truffle fries. I haven’t tried anything else but all the food looked lovely. The staff are very friendly. Not a bad choice for a first Tinder date. It is cruisey and you can just sit and have a drink It also has well lit exits so if you end up meeting a troll who looks nothing like his profiler, you can escape easily enough. If he doesn’t show, sure have the Truffle fries and a cry. See you soon Bleeding Horse.
