A cosy little pub in Irishtown that has a nice projector for sporting events too.The food is nice but is the usual Dublin Pub Grub, nothing mad but still does the job.The drinks are great and not too pricey for Dublin either, smooth pints and a healthy selection of spirits too!Great for a catch up with a friend or a after work pint!
Can’t believe that no-one has reviewed this absolute gem of a pub yet! The Oarsman exudes class in all things Public House – its staff make customer service look utterly effortless, ensuring that everyone is looked after, delivering drinks to one’s table, and doing so with pleasantry that never crosses over into sycophancy. The Guinness served here is absolute top grade and it also has a more eclectic than usual range of wines and spirits on offer. Shamefully, I have yet to sample much of their cuisine, which looks fantastic – I will redress that soon and update this review forthwith!Star of the decor show here is their giant framed mirror which is genuinely an impressive sight to behold. Their smoking area is spacious and always well heated. This is an ideal venue to meet up before or after a gig or match in the Aviva. Make the pilgrimage here, even if it is off your beaten track, and you won’t regret it.
