When I saw the sign for Travel Café I expected some type of vegan restaurant full of backpackers eating quinoa salads. Surprisingly it’s quite the classy joint and the interior is finished to a high standard. The lunch menu offered pizza for €8.95 and we ordered chicken wings to share between us. I have to say the wings were pretty random. They were roasted and served with a few smears of blue cheese dressing and a couple of dollops of chocolate sauce. The pizzas were delicious though. I had one with spicy sausage and jalapeños and drizzled a little chilli oil on each slice. Hersh had the Spanish pizza with chorizo. A very satisfying meal and worth a visit if you are every down by Dun Laoighre pier.
