Conway’s is a nice spot for a more traditional local pub atmosphere. Very friendly staff and owner. Prices are reasonable for both food and drink.

I expected more since the place was busy itself with people eating. It was Friday evening and all I needed was a feed, I got the Hawaiian burger which I was looking forward to since it was topped with a nice juicy pineapple, however I couldn’t taste the pineapple with all the cheese that it was covered in.It didn’t taste homemade and I’m not sure it was. I was with others who ordered food and my friend (big sporty lad) ordered a bowl of pasta which was so small it looked like it was for a kid.Overall I wasn’t impressed, the staff were sort of attentive and polite when suited. The pub itself has a lovely cosy feeling with a great atmosphere and I expected more. I picked going here over having to eat Witherspoons basic food and it was just as basic.Great pub, not so great food.

Went to Conways last week for a pint and a bite to eat after work. The service is good, however there is room for improvement with the food. I was there with 4 friends, and tried a bit of everyone’s, and there was nothing really special about any of it. Nice place for a bit, and the pub has a lot of character, but there is nicer and probably cheaper places to eat in Blackrock.
