– Nice place to relax after work;- Little options, although the dishes I tried that weren’t many we’re good;- The service was kinda rushed;- I’d recommend for a casual dinner, if you’re not looking for a so fancy dinner.
Found myself at the airport with time to spare during breakfast hours. Looked up Kealy’s on Google maps and walked down, luggage and all. They opened half an hour late, but it was an experience. I’d never known that a breakfast of Bailey’s Cheesecake, washed down with a Jameson can be so good. Loved the ambience here. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in town next.
I found myself at the airport, at lunchtime, with some time to kill. In these situations it’s normally a toss-up between a dirty mackers in Terminal 1, or a gargantuan carver in the Coachman’s. But on this occasion I happened upon Kealy’s. It was lunch, and the place was brimming with airport workers, and travellers awaiting their respective flights. Despite this I was greeted immediately and shown to one of the few remaining free seats in the bar. Within a few minutes my order was taken, and the hunger pangs hit 90. I ordered the steak sandwich which came with pepper sauce and chunky chips. Now when I say ‘chunky’, we’re talking pretty much whole potatoes here. Yum! The steak sambo itself was decent, and certainly hit the spot, but I have to admit that looking around me, I had a fair bit of food envy. Happy out all the same, and I’ll definitely be back again.
After our visit to the Butler Chocolate Experience, the young man recommended Kealy’s as an antidote! We got the two course option for each if us and it was so much food, all of it delicious. Being a Wednesday night and early, wasn’t a lot of people, and so we received attentive service. Evidently they must be doing something right to stay in business 50 years, and I’m sure the close proximity to the Dublin Airport does not hurt. We enjoyed the lovely decor and will look forward to a repeat visit, should we find ourselves in Ireland again.
Well the food was terrible, as was the service. I had the Asian beef salad and there was more fat then beef and the lettuce was spoiled. The two waitresses that dealt with us were rude and told us when we were seated that we had to be gone by a certain time in order for more people to eat. After bisiting Ireland for 3 weeks we can honestly say we haven’t had any bad food until today our last day here. Don’t waste your money here
