About

Chef Omer Miller and restaurateurs Itay Spivak and Steven Lobel (Dining Hall) have reunited to open Shulhan the new neighbor on Tel Aviv's Rothschild Avenue 3 years ago. HaShulhan offers a fresh creative cuisine, urban lively atmosphere, as well as intimate feel. Chef Omer Miller presents a menu of personal interpretations of the local modern cuisine: colorful clean presentation, multiple combinations of very few products, minimal processing and hints of familiar flavors. Shulhan's menu includes small and main courses, all offered for fair prices, while allowing a shared meal: Egg Schnitzel in Garam Masala, crispy shallots, green onions and Thai vinaigrette; cold calamari salad with chick peas, hyssop, grilled eggplant, tomatoes and hot chili pepper; polenta cannelloni with crab bisque, shrimps, calamari and mussels; chicken stew with aromatic spice broth, root cream, chick peas and onions, and many others. Shulhan's decor, which is corresponding with the restaurant's neighborhood, was planned by Architect Dan Troim. The restaurant's open space is influenced by the outside street, the ceiling is high and inside the restaurant wood and bright colors are dominant features. Nevertheless, the center of attention remains the social, culinary occurrences around the tables. Chef Miller and DJ Funkyfish composed a special soundtrack music for Shulhan, which is corresponding with the flow of people rushing into the restaurant from Rothschild Avenue the social, cultural and economic center of Tel Aviv.
