The history of La Clotze dates back to 1972, when the Domaine spouses started this adventure by offering a typical cuisine in a characteristic mountain restaurant in Courmayeur, in the heart of Val ferret. In 1997 the Domaine family decided to hand over the management of the restaurant to third parties and engage in other activities. After more than 20 years of controversial management, the grandchildren, supported by the whole family, decide to regain the management of the restaurant with the intent to bring it back to its former glory. Taking advantage of the experiences and knowledge handed down to them by their grandparents, they present their idea of traditional cuisine in a modern way, encouraging the use of local products to enhance the flavours of our land. The restaurant proposes Aosta Valley and Piedmont specialities served in an elegant alpine setting, but with the familiar atmosphere that has always distinguished the historic management of La clotze.
