About
The term "PUTIA" Gallipoli in dialect means "workshop". At PUTIA, in fact, it is a family-run restaurant-pub, located in the beautiful old town of Gallipoli, whose property was converted from an old carpentry (the shop of course). It 'a rustic and friendly, surrounded by an atmosphere of another era, where in addition to listen to great music, you can taste the authentic dishes of the cuisine of Gallipoli, made daily and according to traditional recipes; but also the main Italian dishes, both meat, both based on fish. At PUTIA is also pizzeria, sandwich, fry, grill and brewery (now famous are craft beers on tap Salento: Pizzica and Taranta). Open daily for lunch and dinner, from 1 June to 30 September, at other times by appointment only.Details

After we finished eating, they told us that their credit card machine was broken. They should have warned us when we sat down! And we sought out this place based on another blog’s recommendation – food was below expectations. Would not recommend for anyone else.
I have tried better places but it was ok. Simple dishes, not too big portions. Service is nice and helpful . We managed to pay by card . Street where tables stay is nice and quiet a bit away from main crowds .

This ristorante with its tavola outside in the narrow streets, became our favorite! Very nice staff, good pizza, and nice wine. Lots of seafood in the menu, and also a huge amount of local dishes. Recommended
Pizzas were good. Nice building, off the main streets of the old town. Wine was nice and reasonably priced. We had a mid range bottle recommended by the waitress. Would recommend!
