Welcome to the restaurant - pizzeria " Regina Margherita " , named after the homonymous Queen of Savoy . In honor of which , according to tradition , the chef Raffaele Esposito prepared , in June of 1889 , the first " Pizza Margherita " of history. Condendola with tomatoes , mozzarella and basil , to represent the tricole of the Italian flag . Our restaurant , located in the historic square of Grottaglie , which is named after Queen Margherita and where you can admire the beautiful Cathedral Church of Romanesque foundation .
