Fantastic place for a coffee and gelato stop on Nardó main square. Music is playing softly in the background, a couple sitting close to me is reading the newspaper together and discussing each article, the walls are decorated with lovely pictures.
This caffe on the main piazza is beautiful inside, full of lovely baroque details! I had only a coffee and a typical almond cookie, but the bar looked professional, and the staff were welcoming.
Ordered salad with tuna, grana, black olives. Came without the olives (“we’re out”), a wee bit of tuna that was lost in the mounds of head lettuce, and grana cheese that was in hiding.
Having had a impromptu stop in Nardo, we found ourselves at the Caffe Parisi. The cafe had the most fantastic array of cakes and pastries you could ever imagine, and they tasted as good as they looked !!
