Since 1998, Il Rifugio has been a benchmark for lovers of good cooking. Located in the countryside of Salento, only a few kilometres away from Lecce, the restaurant enjoys a wonderful panoramic view. Sitting on the highest point of Galugnano, diners can see all surrounding villages and even the Albanian mountains on fair summer days. Our family-run business is entirely dedicated to the local Salento cooking tradition and uses only home-grown and locally sourced products. The hallmarks of our menu are "ciceri e tria", "cecamariti", diced horsemeat in a spicy sauce, "turcineddhi" and our famous nut cake. Alongside our traditional dishes we love to cook new dishes every week, following the cycle of nature and the products of our land. We offer lovely accommodation in our 4 bedrooms, tastefully decorated throughout, complete with all essential amenities.
