Old farmhouse-monastery situated in the area of Altamura, built in the seventeenth century by the Franciscan friars.Today, the agriturismo has preserved the architectural features of the farmhouse-monastery, for example, the ancient bell tower and the small church dedicated to the our Lady of the Assumption. The surrounding countryside is lush and green, a natural invitation to peace and meditation. The restaurant and bedrooms have been created from a wing of the ancient "lamione" (a barrel vaulted building once used to house animals or hay). The four bedrooms have a private entrance from the garden, TV and en-suite bathroom. The menu offers seasonal produce from the organic vegetable garden and wild herbs gathered from the Alta Murgia National Park (Cardoncello mushrooms, cardoons, asparagus, asphodel...), lamb, pork, beef and homemade raw milk cheeses. All of the farm produce can be purchased on-site.
