Restaurant came highly recommended by hotel. But condescending and extremely inattentive service. Food was woeful. Pasta was swimming in sauce like soup. Chicken dish was completely over cooked and bordered on inedible. Plenty of much better options in Madera.
Noticed the restaurant on our drive into Matera and got recommendations from our hotel.Meat was excellent, for starter and main course, and wonderful dessert. Very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend.

We had a group dinner on their terrace. Each course was delicious and the staff attentive. The arrabbiata pasta was perfect!
If you are looking for a good place to eat outside in the Sassi of Matera the „Baccus“ is a good choice.
