We’ve been there 3 times while our vacation in Matera. The coffee is very good, the view from the terrace is nice, the appetizers (especially the olives 😀 tasty). You should go for a coffee there.
It is self-service so be prepared. Mostly tables outside, you grab what you want inside from the cheerful staff. Going to the toilet is almost like a visit to a sasso.
This cafe was my pitstop since I love coffee a lot. Situated in the centre and with alovely view of the square.
Came here on account of a NYT story in which the writer mentioned that he had the world’s best cap here. I wouldn’t go so far but it’s pretty darned good. PS Its collection of Jack Daniels is amazing!
